WORSHIP AT HIS HOLY HILL - (Janet's Worship Video)

During this sacred season, I want to share with you a recording in which I narrate excerpts from Psalms 98, 99 and 108.  My favorite musicians, Secret Garden, provide background worship and I've added graphics which convey the spirit of these passages to take you to your own secret garden of prayer and worship.  The Messiah Bridegroom Yashua paid the "Bride Price" during the Passover season so that one day, He will return to take His Bride to the wedding chamber (chuppah) which is being prepared even now.

"Exalt the Lord your God and worship at His Holy Hill;
for the Lord our God is Holy."  ~ Psalm 99:9

FEAST of PURIM for the SPIRITUAL WOMAN

THE FESTIVAL - At sundown on Saturday, February 23, 2013, Jews and Messianics around the world will celebrate the Feast of Purim. Traditional celebrations include the reading of the Megillah (Book of Esther); the rattling of Groggers (noisemakers); the wearing of masks and indulging in sweet Hamantaschen.  Mardi Gras adapted many of its traditions from Purim.   But does this festive precursor to Passover and Easter have any relevance beyond the obvious party celebrations? Indeed it does. Purim is now the bridge between the old and the new Kingly Scepter of Power; and for the Virtuous Woman, it signals in the Hebrew language her calling and destiny:  Chay'll--the powerful, wealthy, force to be reckoned with!

QUEEN ESTHER - The Festival of Purim comes from the Book of Esther (Hadassah) as a celebration of God's deliverance of Jews from an anti-Semitic politician named Hamen.  Hadassah gained favor from her King when she dared to approach the throne "unsummoned."  Persian Law demanded that if the King did not extend his Scepter toward her or anyone approaching the throne without being summoned, they would be executed.  But Hadassah's trust in God was greater than her fear of man.  And through God's favor, the King's Scepter was extended and he offered her up to half his Kingdom.  In the end, the Nation of Israel was saved.

TODAY'S SCEPTER for the SPIRITUAL WOMAN - So how does the blessing of Purim relate to the virtuous woman who trusts in the Heavenly King for her salvation and provision?  The new kingly scepter is the Scepter of His Righteousness (Hebrews 1:6-8)  This scepter represents her purpose, her success, her destiny.  Here's how the Scriptures reveal Purim for the Biblical Model of the Virtuous Woman:

HAS THE CHURCH HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE RISE IN CANCER, OBESITY AND HEART DISEASE

"The Virtuous Woman rises early and provides good food for her household." ~ Proverbs 31:15

Does it really matter what we eat as long as we bless it--after all, we are no longer under the "Law."   Well, the New Covenant says it matters--and it's a requirement that is, for the most part, completely ignored by the Church.

When the fledgling New Testament Ekklesia (Church) was just getting started, the apostles and elders gathered in Jerusalem to discuss the guidelines for Gentiles coming into the fold--those being grafted into the "Good Olive Tree," so to speak.  And by direction of the Holy Spirit (Acts 15:28), it was decided that there be only four requirements of the Gentiles--not the entire Torah or requiring circumcision as had been practiced previously.  Three of the four--which were never rescinded Scripturally--involve the processing of meat; the fourth was to abstain from sexual immorality.  Even Yashua the Messiah warned that to violate these is to practice the Doctrine of Balaam and He chastised the Church for allowing it to continue (Rev. 2:14).   To disregard the New Covenant Food Laws is to defile the Temple!  These New Covenant Dietary Laws can be found in Acts 15:24-29:
  1. Abstain from meats offered to idols (Balaam Doctrine - Ritualistic Food Practices--Putting faith in special foods for healing, supernatural powers, etc.)
  2. Abstain from meats containing blood; (Animal died from natural causes; killed by another animal; less than fully cooked)
  3. Abstain from meat of animals that are strangled. The animal must be killed Shechitah (Kosher), which is quick and painless to the animal and allows the blood to drain completely
Eating the blood of animals is prohibited because the Life is in the blood.  This also means that eggs should be first broken into a bowl to inspect for any blood spots before cooking.  Why does all this matter?  The negative side effects of eating blood or improperly prepared meats is creating an exponential rise in disease--primarily because of how the animal is raised, killed and prepared (processed).  And the lack of concern about the processing of meat has contributed to the epidemic of obesity, cancer and heart disease.  And of these things, the Church has remained silent:

"There is a way that seems right to a woman, but the end of it is death."
~ Proverbs 14:12

PROOF - ADDRESSING THE HANUKKAH-CHRISTMAS DEBATE

Pastoring a Messianic Jewish congregation can be immensely rewarding.  But occasionally, the so-called Chosen and the grafted-in Goyim who worship together forget we are all One in Messiah and revert back to deeply ingrained prejudices and long-held beliefs.

This year, I encountered more and more Gentile Christians who are refusing to put up a Christmas Tree or sing the time-honored carols of their childhood because some well-meaning but totally misguided soul convinced them it was some kind of abomination to do so.  For Zion's sake, I shall not be silent!  Rather, I welcome you into my home this holiday season to hear PROOF that Yeshua Jesus our Messiah's birthday really is December 25th as taught in Scripture and written history by the Jewish people themselves.  I will also light the Hanukkah menorah and bless you as my new Christmas tradition:

DAY OF THE DEAD--CELEBRATION OR ABOMINATION?

“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you ... a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord."

(Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

When my husband and soul mate of 35 years died unexpectedly, I was in shock and not in a frame of mind to make thoughtful decisions. A close friend found a nearby mortuary that worked with the military to transport my Beloved to the National Cemetery for burial. He was a decorated 21-year Vietnam Era Vet and worthy of full military honors, and so I agreed to let this mortuary handle the transfer. The facility was managed by a group of Hispanic woman professionals who performed a kind service to me.

A few weeks later, I received an invitation in the mail inviting me to a celebration of the "Day of the Dead" hosted by this same mortuary. The postcard I received was much more grotesque than the one depicted above, but none the less, the message of this day is about celebrating corpses that are invited back to the Earth as you will see in the video below:

"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

THE SONG OF THE BRIDE

The Feast of Rosh Hashana begins at Sundown today and lasts for two days.  In ancient times, it was called the "Very Long Day."  Many Believers look to the Fall Feasts of the Lord as both the Time of Jacob's Trouble and the Wedding Day of the Messiah, because this Feast--the Feast of Trumpets--is the Day on which the "Last Trump" will be sounded, proclaiming the long-awaited Rapture of Messiah's Bride.

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump:
the shofar  shall sound ...
and we shall be changed." ~ 1st Cor. 15:52

The Virtuous Woman is called to keep her oil lamp trimmed and be ready for whatever season her Heavenly Bridegroom returns.  This is a figurative way of saying she should keep watch over her heart, her mind, her family and her household, so that Day does not catch her unawares.  Be vigilant and contending for the truth. Trusting always in the Holy Spirit, given as our engagement ring at the betrothal of the Bridegroom when we first believed.  And while the world celebrates with apples and honey and greetings of L'shanah Tovah (a sweet new year), the Virtuous Woman remembers her calling and her destiny:  She is the Bride of His Desire.

Listen to her love song to her Messiah Bridegroom as she waits:
