PREPARING FOR PENTECOST - COUNTING THE OMER

We are approaching the Feast of Pentecost (evening of May 14th).  The word Pentecost is a Greek derivative meaning the 50th Day.  The Church refers to Pentecost as its "Birthday," but that is a poor rendering of the significance of this Feast.  Pentecost is really the anniversary of the day that Yashua, our Messiah, betrothed Himself to His Bride!

Since the Resurrection Event (Firstfruits), there are intervening days called "Counting the Omer."  These days are numbered right up to the Day of Pentecost (Feast of Shavuot) for a reason.  The Psalmist wrote that we should "number our days" and the prophet Daniel identified Yashua as "The Wonderful Numberer."*

Here is a video teaching I present on "Counting the Omer" - our journey to the Feast of Pentecost:

"Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." ~ Psalm 90:12

* "Then I heard a holy one speaking and another holy one said unto Palmoni Kadosh (the Wonderful Numberer) which spake "How Long shall the vision be..." ~ Daniel 8:13
