The Month of Elul on the Jewish calendar introduces a 40-day period of Repentance and Return to the Lord called Teshuvah'

“Come, my people, enter your chambers and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little while, until the tribulation is past.   For the Lord comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the Earth for their iniquities." ~ Isaiah 26:20-21
